A project to widen the south stretch of Kennedy Road to four lanes will include the expansion of a bridge over Highway 407, despite earlier reports from city staff saying otherwise.
Confusion over whether the bridge will be part of the upcoming project was provoked at Brampton city council's Aug. 6 when council entered into discussions on the matter.
Mayor Susan Fennell asked if the bridge would be expanded along with the road way, and was told it would not; Coun. Bob Callahan stated he had previously heard differently.
City staff has since clarified the matter, and reports the Kennedy Road bridge over Hwy. 407 will be widened to four lanes as part of the project.
