A Brampton man was jumped by three thugs in a north end plaza parking lot, leaving him bruised and cut. The 29-year-old drove himself to Brampton Civic Hospital for treatment after the attack at 12:45 a.m. yesterday . He suffered a deep cut on the back of his head, and bruises on his face and arms, according to Peel police. He went to the plaza at 2100 Bovaird Drive East to fax some papers at the WestBram Convenience store, but after getting out of his vehicle, he was hit from behind and knocked to the ground. He was punched, kicked, and the cash in his wallet was taken, according to police. Police are looking for three men in connection with the attack and robbery. 16-year-old charged A video store clerk was unhurt when she was robbed by three youths at 7 p.m. Monday, Peel police report. The 48-year-old was working at the Sumbal Video store on Queen Street West in the downtown core when three youths walked in, grabbed the telephone out of her hand and demanded she open the cash register, according to police reports. She did, and the robbers took cash and packs of Belmont cigarettes before running out of the store. Approximately one hour later, police arrested a 16-year-old Bramptonian and charged him with robbery. The Youth Criminal Justice Act protects his identity.
