I agree 101 per cent with Donata's letter in showing how some people don't care.

The world for those like Robert end within the limit of their property-- the fact that he is paying the energy bill gives him the right to not respect the community and the common sense?

I don't think so, and I agree with Donata's "special-ed" concept for adults.

Of course, she was sarcastically mentioning special-ed programs and she was not insulting, making fun what so ever to those kids participating the program.

Students are educated at schools to follow a responsible environmental behaviour so maybe they could be the best teachers for those parents thinking the same way as Robert does.

With all respect, but the fact that Robert did not spend a single word on the importance of Earth Day, did not apologize for having turned on the A/C, did not mention the importance of a good environmental behaviour, this is really offensive to me.

I'm teaching my kids to respect others and have a proper behaviour but, as Donata mentioned, what do I tell them when they are asking me why someone seems to not care about it?

The problem related to the environment is not about "who is sharing what" but is about our behaviour in everyday acts.

If someone is throwing papers on the street, I have the right to tell him "Don't".

If someone is polluting rivers or lakes, I have the right to tell him "Don't".

And I have the same right even if someone is burning polluting stuff in his own backyard.

It is not a matter of Robert having A/C on for few minutes, it is the matter of having 100, 1,000, 10,000 on.

And I feel insulted by them because of their behaviour.
